Travertine tile cleaning is slightly more complicated than other tile cleaning.

Warm water is effective at cleaning travertine floors since it cuts through most soil and grease. While the cleaning solution is dwelling on the ceramic tile surface you should agitate the tile with a stiff brush or scrub pad. This can be scrubbed onto the grout with a small brush that will allow you to wash the areas between the tiles without scratching their edges and causing damage to the material.

Using a mild soap occasionally 3 4 times a year for cleaning travertine won t harm the stone but consistent use will dull the surface with a soap film. To clean travertine grout lines mix equal parts baking soda and water to create a gritty paste.
